WHAT IS THERE TO DO? ONLY RAIN
The ongoing cloud seeding that takes place here in the region seems to be working! Now, if only the streets can have drainage installed. One thing at a time I guess.
SHINING A LIGHT 'CAUSE THEY WANTED IT SEEN
It is hard to believe that 4 years ago today (January 2nd, 2018) we arrived in Dubai. To quote Ferris Bueller:
'Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.'
As the uncertainties of the new year appear on the horizon, I am glad that I have taken the time to make photographs of experiences and our time here.
After the storm
Acording to Wikipedia, Winter in Dubai begins around the last week of October and lasts until the beginning of April. The winter season has the most pleasant weather, making it ideal for outdoor activities. Most of the precipitation takes place during this season.
Wikipedia has it right, as over the past week we have had two torrential downpours that resulted in the usual flooded streets. Despite the downpours, the cooler temps are a welcome break from the usual heat. Long may it continue.
